motion to begin the 27 September 2003 meeting of the New York Wing’s Cadet

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Cadet Fest 2003 Wrap Up:
a. Schedule was distorted due to the General Assembly running
long
b. Cadet Security Force was disorganized, needs a SM to
supervise
c. Cadet Commander’s meeting was one of the better ideas
d. Dance was not productive
e. Stats were not interesting to listen to from a cadet’s
perspective
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Cadet Fest 2004 Ideas:
a. Have a Cadet General Assembly that parallels the Senior
General Assembly
b. Have a predetermined order for the awards, rather than by
Group, might make them go faster
c. Career/Academy Fair, Capt. Pruitt can help here

Fest 2004:
a.
Issue
of high price raised…stated that this is the lowest the price has been in many
years, and seems to be affordable
b.
Need
to submit teams for the quiz bowl by the meeting before the Fest
c.
Possible
schedule to include opening and closing formation for more formality, retain
the CAC meeting, but also include a Question and Answer Panel, Cadet 1st
Sergeant Discussion, and a Drill Down
2.
Cadet
King raised an issue that was a concern of his recorder. He said that the cadet was concerned that
the cost of the Encampment for cadet staff is too high. Concern that cadets have to take time off of
work just like senior members need to do.
Captain Pruitt will raise issue with the encampment staff.

C/LtC
Dolce is resigning due to personal reasons.
Elections were held on the Council for the position of Chairman.
a.
Cadet
King nominated Cadet Groff, and was seconded by Cadet Ayala
b.
Cadet
Dolce nominated Cadet Paquette, however Cadet Paquette declined the nomination
c.
Cadet
Lopez nominated Cadet Ayala, however Cadet Ayala declined the nomination
d.

Katz nominated himself, and was seconded by Cadet Dolce
e.
A
vote was taken and tallied by Cadet Dolce and the Vice Recorders. Cadet Groff will be the new Chairman
effective the end of the meeting by a vote of 5-1.
f.
Cadet
Groff appointed Cadet Hasard to the position of NYWG Recorder which became
vacant, effective the end of the meeting.
Closing:
The motion to adjourn the 27
September 2003 NYWG CAC meeting was made by Adam King, C/Capt, CAP and seconded
by Raquel Ayala, C/1Lt CAP at 1414 hrs.
The motion was unanimously passed.
