NY WING COLOR GUARD

RIGHT: MEG reports for the Standard Drill portion of the competition.

     On 29 April 2000 at the Watervliet Arsenal in Watervliet, NY, three teams from throughout the wing participated in the Color Guard Competition.  The teams participated in the Outdoor presentation, Indoor presentation, Standard drill portion, PT test, written test, and uniform inspection.  At the awards ceremony Southeast received 3rd place with one first place in the Outdoor presentation.  New York City Group and Mid-Eastern Group tied for first.  NYCG had first places in the Uniform inspection and PT section and MEG had first places in the Indoor presentation, written test, and Standard drill inspection.  According to regulations, a tie is settled by the team with the highest inspection score.  NYCG received first place for the second year in a row and will represent the Wing in region competition.
     Individual awards and other awards will be posted on a later date.  Congratulations to all those who participated.
