MEMORANDUM FOR: 2001 Encampment Cadet and Senior Staff

SUBJECT: Encampment Staff Skills Workshop (SSW) 

1.  The 2001 NYW Encampment Staff Skills Workshop (SSW) for both cadets and seniors 
is being held at the Comfort Inn, in Albany NY on 13 and 14 July.  In-processing ends 
at 2200 on the 13th, and outprocessing is at 1500 on Saturday July 14.  Cadets and 
seniors who live local to Albany should show up at 0530 on Saturday morning.

2.  The Comfort Inn is on 866 Albany-Shaker Road.  To get there from NYS Thruway, 
take exit 24 to I-87 North, take exit 4.  Left on Wolff Rd., Left on Albany Shaker 
Rd.  Stay Right at "Y" going around Airport.  Right on Albany-Shaker Rd.  Hotel on 
left.  

3. The cost is $76 per room, and $9 for lunch.  Personnel not staying at the hotel 
should bring just $9.  You must eat at the hotel- otherwise we don’t get that room 
rate.  Find roommates on the staff roster posted on the 2001 NYW Encampment webpage 
(http://newyorkwing.webjump.com/enc2001/) and make the reservation with the hotel 
directly at (518) 783-1900 or 1-800-274-9429 and ask for "CAP block".  It is your 
responsibility to arrange roommates.

4.  With 4 people per room, your cost for the weekend will be $33, including food.  
If you cannot find roommates, contact me ASAP.  It is expected that you return home 
on Saturday.  A signed CAPF 31 is also required.  Uniform is BDUs.  Bring encampment 
planning materials, a towel and toiletries.  The hotel has toiletries and towels 
available.
