MEMORANDUM FOR ALL NY WING PERSONNEL
FROM: NYWG/CPAN
817 Stewart Avenue (Rear)
Garden City, NY 11530-4856
SUBJECT: CAC Meeting in Niagara Falls 11-13 August
1. As planned on the Wing CP calendar, the Wing CAC is
conducting its next meeting in Niagara Falls, NY on 12
AUG 00. The general itinerary is for downstate personnel
to arrive Friday night (11 AUG), and stay overnight, attend
the meeting Saturday, then a guided (by CAP) tour of
Niagara Falls will be provided Saturday afternoon/evening,
rain or shine, ending at the latest 1900. The CAC and
cadet programs meetings will start at 1000 sharp 12 AUG 00
(Saturday). Cadets are welcome to attend to observe a Wing
CAC meeting, and seniors are welcome to participate in the
cadet programs meeting conducted concurrently.
2. Western NY Group is hosting the event, and is actively
pursuing billeting at the ANG base. Understand at this
point, billeting is not secured on base, however in the
interest of planning, I need the names and SSN's of ALL
personnel planning to stay overnight Friday and/or Saturday
in order to create an MSA so we can use the base billeting
(at significant cost savings).
3. The cost will be $5 for a morning snack and a full
lunch on Saturday. Other meals are the responsibility of
the members. We are investigating the possibility of eating
at the mess facility on base. Additional costs for the Falls
tour will be published at a later date. I do not know the
cost of billeting at this time, but will provide it as soon
as possible. I am estimating *at most* $20 per night per
person, although most bases are around $12-$15. We will
probably only have space for the CAC, senior escorts and a
handful of cadets for an overnight stay.
4. Again, Group CP and CC's need to forward a list of full
names of cadets and seniors and their CAPSN's to me NLT
31 JUL 00 so the MSA may be completed. Plan as if we will
have base billeting at this time. Please cascade this memo
to your groups (and any groups I may have missed) for this
activity so plans can be made. I hope to see all of the
CAC representatives attending!
5. More information on cost, billeting, and driving
directions will be published as soon as made available.
Members should expect about an 8-9 hour drive from New York
City to NFANGB, and 5 1/2 from Albany. If you have any
questions, email me at val_n_andy@hotmail.com or call me at
(716) 334-1011 and leave a message if I'm not there.
