SUBJECT: Cadet Competition and Color Guard Teams 

1.  Northeast Region has given a date on their calendar of 4-6 May 2001
for the Cadet competition and Color Guard Competition.  I would like to 
find out which groups are interested in putting forward teams for these 
two competitions. 

2.  For those groups wishing to participate, it is coming time to start 
preparing and recruiting for these two activities.  The competition at 
region is a short 7 months away.  It is especially important that the 
groups interested in a cadet competition team start preparing sooner than 
later.  Especially considering it is still early in the school year, those 
groups interested might still be able to catch the interest of the cadets 
before they make commitments to school activities.

3.  We are planning on conducting a wing competition for both events on 
the same day in March of 2001.  This means the groups actually have 5 
months from now to prepare.  Groups are free to form a group team (cadets 
from around the group or cadets from one squadron representing the group), 
or have a group competition within their own group. 

4.  I would like a response from the groups indicating interest or not- 
this is not a formal letter of intent, just a guage to see if we need to 
conduct wing competitions for the cadet competition and/or color guard.
